It was a winning afternoon in the Mets organization on Wednesday, as the five affiliates combined for a 3-2 record. Binghamton hit three home runs en route to their win, and a good pitchers duel in Brooklyn ended in a walk-off.
The Mets’ affiliates as a whole struggled Thursday, though Jonah Tong and Tyler Stuart impressed with dominant performances on the mound in two of the best games of their respective professional careers up to this point.
While the 2023 season was extremely disappointing for the New York Mets at the big league level, at least they used the down-year productively to bolster their farm system.
