Like many Americans, San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich is worried about Tuesday’s election.

In fact, thanks to an exchange with Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express News, we know that Pop is “scared to death.” In the same exchange, the five-time NBA champion made his vote known — Basketball Hall of Famer Don Nelson.

It actually makes sense. Nelson is a former mentor of Popovich and is the winningest coach in NBA history.

One potential drawback would be if any military action became necessary.

With Nelson as Commander in Chief, the United States Military would likely launch some inventive offensive attacks but would be quite vulnerable on defense.

When it comes down to Pop’s vote, we have to ask ourselves one question. Is Don Nelson really worse than the alternative?
