LeBron James Talks About Playing With His Son
Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James Cary Edmondson-USA TODAY Sports

For months now, LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers has said that he wants to play NBA basketball with his son, Bronny.

Since Bronny will be soon eligible for the NBA draft and James himself is still surprisingly healthy and powerful for his age, it seems like this could happen.

But how?

Would the Lakers be able to move around enough draft pieces to get Bronny or would James actually leave his team for one that could acquire his son?

Either option seems possible.

James’ latest comments about playing with his son shed some light on his plans.

“I need to be on the floor with my boy,” James told ESPN recently.

His next comment about that dream was the most telling: “Either in the same uniform or against him.”

James has repeatedly said that he wants to play with Bronny but this statement suggests that he’s more than willing to play on an opposing team, just as long as he gets to be on the court with his son.

This likely created a huge sigh of relief inside LA’s front office because they weren’t sure how to get Bronny and weren’t even positive they wanted to.

But they certainly wanted to appease their biggest star.

Recent rumors have said that James does in fact plan to play out the rest of his career with the Lakers, which means that he probably won’t be on the same team as his son.

However, if he stays healthy he will most certainly face off against him.

You can bet that the first James versus James match in the NBA will be must-see TV that attracts millions of viewers.
