The Warriors have officially re-signed center Kevon Looney, the team announced in a press release.

Looney, 26, is 6-foot-9 and is receiving a three-year, $25.5 million contract, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

He started all 82 regular-season games last season as the Warriors made another run to the championship. Along the way, he averaged 6.0 points and 7.3 rebounds, shooting 57 percent from the field.

“Looney has been a significant element of the Warriors’ title run and exits free agency to stay on a new deal with the NBA champions,” Wojnarowski wrote.

While Looney is coming back, the Warriors lost guard Gary Payton II, who is headed to the Trail Blazers, and guard/forward Juan Toscano-Anderson, who is headed to the Lakers. They could also lose veteran free agent Andre Iguodala.
