Browns’ Myles Garrett Reveals Massive Injury Update
Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

Week 4 was not a good one for the Cleveland Browns. They were beaten handily by their AFC North rivals, the Baltimore Ravens, 28-3 on their home field. To make matters worse, star edge rusher Myles Garrett was injured in the game.

Garrett was seen limping off the field in the third quarter of the game. While it was encouraging to see him get back on the field before the final whistle blew, what was seen after the game was certainly not.

While heading to his post-game press conference, Garrett was seen wearing a walking boot. Naturally, reporters asked the Browns’ star player what the extent of the injury was that he was dealing with.

All that he revealed was that he was dealing with a sore foot. Asked about his availability for the Browns’ next game against the currently undefeated San Francisco 49ers, Garrett said that he would be ready to go.

He will certainly benefit from having an extended amount of time off as the Browns are set to have their bye in Week 5. That will give him an extra week of recovery, which is likely needed as being in a boot for any amount of time is never a positive thing.

The Browns were dealing with enough injuries before the issue arose with Garrett. In addition to his injury picked up on Sunday, center Ethan Pocic suffered a chest injury and was seen on crutches with a knee brace after the game.

Running back Nick Chubb was lost for the season to a knee injury suffered in Week 2 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Left tackle Jack Conklin suffered a season-ending ACL injury as well. Quarterback Deshaun Watson missed the game against the Ravens because of a shoulder injury.

Being without their best player on the defensive side of the ball would put the Browns in a precarious spot. Garrett has been one of the most dominant players in the NFL thus far this season; replacing him would be an impossibility.
