Chiefs WR Sammy Watkins suggests Browns aren't competition

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster generated headlines and bulletin-board material ahead of Sunday's playoff game against the Cleveland Browns when he said the Browns were "nameless gray faces" and that "the Browns is the Browns."

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Sammy Watkins apparently learned nothing from Smith-Schuster's experience.

Like many football fans, Watkins took to Twitter on Sunday night to voice his surprise over Cleveland jumping out to a 28-point first-quarter lead:

Someone responded and noted that Cleveland could be serious competition for the Chiefs next Sunday:

Watkins had none of it and, in the process, irritated some Browns fans and maybe some Cleveland players:

"I wouldn't go that far," Watkins joked.

Multiple Browns players, including quarterback Baker Mayfield, made it clear following Sunday's victory that they were motivated by Smith-Schuster's slight: listed the Chiefs as 10-point favorites for next Sunday's matchup, and it's a safe bet the underdog Browns will be looking for any advantages as they attempt to shock the football community and the defending Super Bowl champions.
