Patrick Mahomes is in Augusta, Ga., this week to take in the Masters, and eagled-eyed observes gleaned from photographs of him at the major that the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback no longer is outfitted with a walking boot.
Mahomes underwent surgery in February to repair a torn plantar plate in his foot — commonly referred to as turf toe — and the superstar signal-caller was wearing a walking boot as recently as this past weekend.
Replying to a tweet from Pat McAfee that included an Easter photograph of Mahomes, fiancée Brittany Matthews and daughter Sterling that was first shared the Chiefs star on Instagram, the quarterback said he was “all good” despite the presence of the walking boot.

Mahomes has evidently enjoyed an upgrade from “all good,” as evidenced by a tweet in which he shared an image of himself rocking some Masters-themed shoes in honor of the revered major golf tournament.

Last year, Mahomes was among the countless golf fans who were left disappointed but understanding over how the Masters was postponed until November due to the coronavirus pandemic. In fact, the Chiefs signal-caller bemoaned on Twitter not being able to witness the major in person.
Man im sad I’m not at the masters right now…….
