Bills Making Five Moves

The Buffalo Bills announced they have signed CB Zy Alexander, RB Elijah Young and OL Rush Reimer to the roster.  To help make space, Buffalo waived K Caden Davis and RB Jarveon Howard (injured).  Davis, 24, originally signed on with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of Ole Miss in May.

Bills Sign K Caden Davis, Cut WR Kelly Akharaiyi

The Buffalo Bills announced Friday that they’ve signed K Caden Davis to a contract and released WR Kelly Akharaiyi.  The Bills brought Davis in for a workout on Thursday with K Tyler Bass out with a pelvic injury.  Davis, 24, originally signed on with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of Ole Miss in May.

The Jets are down to one kicker on their 90-man roster. The team announced on Tuesday that they have waived Caden Davis. The move leaves Harrison Mevis as the lone kicker in training camp, but the Jets did work out veteran Nick Folk earlier this week.

Jets Sign RB Lawrance Toafili Among Four Moves

The New York Jets announced they have signed RB Lawrance Toafili to a contract. In correspondence, the Jets have waived K Caden Davis. Toafili participated in the Jets’ rookie minicamp on a tryout basis back in May.  Per ESPN’s Rich Cimini, the Jets also signed UFL OL Liam Fornade and waived C Gus Hartwig with an injury designation.

After suffering a knee injury in practice yesterday, undrafted free agent lineman Gus Hartwig has been let go by the Jets with kicker Caden Davis being shown the door as well.  Hartwig, a former Purdue product, was hoping to catch on as a depth piece along the interior offensive line.
