The Atlanta Falcons have just three regular season games remaining - and fullback Keith Smith won't be able to play in any of them. Atlanta announced Saturday that Smith has been sent to injured reserve with an ankle injury.
The Falcons announced four roster moves on Saturday, elevating P Pat O’Donnell and OL John Leglue for Week 16. The team is also placing FB Keith Smith on injured reserve and signing TE Tucker Fisk to the active roster in his place.
Per Mike Rothstein, the Falcons are elevating WR Damiere Byrd and TE Tucker Fisk for Week 9. Byrd, 30, wound up signing on with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent out of South Carolina back in 2015.
The Falcons do some roster shuffling ahead of Saturday’s preseason finale. The Atlanta Falcons are continuing to tweak their roster ahead of next Tuesday’s 53-man cutdown.
