Senators’ Nick Cousins, Hayden Hodgson fined for incidents against Canadiens

The Montreal Canadiens and Ottawa Senators got into a heated bout in Quebec City on Tuesday. Today, the NHL took exception to a pair of incidents. The NHL Department of Player Safety announced that Ottawa forward Nick Cousins has been fined $2,148.44 for slashing Montreal winger Ivan Demidov at 7:22 in the third period.

Senators sign Hunter Shepard, Jackson Parsons and Hayden Hodgson to deals

The Ottawa Senators were busy on Wednesday, signing goaltender Hunter Shepard and forward Hayden Hodgson to two-way contracts. The team also signed goaltender Jackson Parsons to a three-year entry-level contract, and officially announced the deals for Arthur Kaliyev, Wyatt Bongiovanni and Olle Lycksell.

Senators sign Hayden Hodgson to a one-year, two-way contract

Ottawa Senators announced that they have signed forward Hayden Hodgson to a one-year, two-way contract. The contract will have an average annual value (AAV) of $775k at the NHL level and $325k at the American Hockey League (AHL) level.
