Ajax bid farewell to defender who was signed for more than 10 million

Ko Itakura has completed a permanent move from Ajax to Borussia Mönchengladbach, the Amsterdam club announced on Thursday. The two clubs have agreed a deal for the defender, who was under contract at Ajax until mid-2029.

Ajax receive a higher amount than first reported for surplus Itakura

Ko Itakura is swapping Ajax for old flame Borussia Mönchengladbach. The transfer fee appears to be higher than first reported, De Telegraaf and Voetbal International said on Tuesday.  Florian Plettenberg, a journalist with the German branch of Sky Sport, reports on X that both clubs have reached an agreement on a transfer fee of €3.5 million.
