Ahmed Johnson on if he stole The Legion of Doom's shoulder pads:
"No, that is not true. Hawk gave me the shoulder pads, okay. Second of all, if anybody knows the Road Warriors, if you think you're gonna take something from them and not get your ass kicked, that's a different ballgame. But you see, there's never no heat about it or nothing mentioned about it until after I left. But no, I was given the shoulder pads.”
Why WWE pulled him out of the Nation of Domination Stable:
"What happened was, once I joined the Nation, Vince said he looked at the videotape of us coming down the ramp, me, Kama, Faarooq, D'Lo which was a waste, coming down the ramp. He called us to the office and he said, 'I want you all to look at something' and he played the video of us coming down the ramp. He said, ‘Who am I gonna get to believe that y'all can be beat by anybody. so he said, 'Ahmed, I'm gonna have to take you back out of the Nation. It's just too powerful. I'll have to take you back out of the Nation.’"
Ahmed Johnson on becoming the first African-American Champion:
"I didn't know how to feel, man. I mean, I'm just feeding off the crowd, you know, they were applauding and standing up and that just made me feel so good. The fact was that I heard Shawn Michaels tell Vince that the people wasn't ready for a black champion and the people definitely showed them they were ready.”
