All signs point to a super-fight between UFC middleweight king Anderson Silva (Pictured) vs. welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre going down in 2013, and the billboards are highlighted in bright neon lights. Not only was Silva featured in the final episode of “UFC 154 Primetime,” a three-part documentary he had no business appearing in as it featured St-Pierre and UFC interim champ Carlos Condit as they prepared for Saturday’s shootout, but UFC president Dana White also flew “The Spider” all the way to Montreal to watch tonight’s scrap in person and the UFC had Silva conduct his own press conference just minutes before UFC 154 went live. During the presser, Silva made it perfectly clear that the next time he steps inside the Octagon, GSP better be standing on the opposite side. After that, perhaps a pound-for-pound blockbuster against reigning UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones. “I have my plans,” Silva stated. “For a long time, people talked Anderson and Georges St-Pierre, Anderson and Georges St-Pierre. The people have talked Anderson and Jon Jones, Anderson and Jon Jones. “My first goal is the Georges St-Pierre fight, the super-fight. Then, maybe Jon Jones, but this is not my decision, this is Dana’s decision.” If the St-Pierre shootout transitions from fantasy to fact, it will likely take place at a catchweight – likely at 177 or 178 pounds. That way, both fighters will maintain their titles regardless of what happens. Should he be successful, Silva could very well challenge Jones for his crown. According to Silva’s manager, Ed Soares, his client has two fights remaining on his current UFC contract. It is unknown if the 37-year-old intends to compete once his deal expires. First things first, St-Pierre needs to beat Condit tonight inside Bell Centre in Montreal.
