Watch out for the North Dakota State Bison in the NCAA Tournament.
Every year the NCAA Tournament sees it’s fair share of upsets. Little no name schools get matched up with national powers, and everyone pencils in the power conference school to advance. Then, out of nowhere, they little guy pulls out a miraculous victory that ruins everyone’s brackets on the first weekend. These schools are generally known as “Giant Killers”.
The North Dakota State Bison have a legitimate shot at being a Giant Killer this season. Although the Bison are not ranked in the AP Top 25, the team clinched an automatic bid to the Big Dance by winning the Summit League Championship. NDSU went 25-6 on the season and 12-2 in conference play, including wins over Notre Dame and Delaware. North Dakota State won 14 of its last 15 games of the season, and is currently riding a 9 game win streak.
