The newest trio in Boston: Wallace, Olynyk, and Sullinger

The decision to test some things out was made way before anyone stepped on the court against Toronto this week. After all, that is what the preseason is for, right? While the result wasn’t what anyone in Boston was hoping for, there was a lot to get excited about in Mondays loss- specifically the chemistry between Gerald Wallace, Jared Sullinger, and Celtics rookie Kelly Olynyk...

Stevens: "We can get a lot better on the glass"

The Boston Celtics discovered a lot about themselves in the first preseason game against the Toronto Raptors on Monday night. One thing they discovered is that this team has to work on hitting the glass and pulling down rebounds. Here is a quote from A. Sherrod Blakely's piece on CSNNE: Upon further review, Celtics coach Brad Stevens came away with the same conclusion he...

Sully acknowledges he needs to be in better shape

Jared Sullinger is a big dude. Known for having a wide frame is fine, especially when you use it to carve out room to hit the boards like Sully does. But Sullinger has acknowledged that he does need to shed some weight before the start of the season: Sullinger on trimming down his 275-pound (plus?) frame. - "I have to get in better shape." — Mark Murphy (@Murf56) October...

Rajon Rondo: This Is My Team, Why Would I Want To Leave Boston?

Rajon Rondo is doing and saying all the right things as the one and only leader of a new look Boston Celtics franchise. Rondo is the face of the Celtics now, and that’s quite fine with him. RR: “I don’t really say much and speak out on exactly what happened...

Rajon Rondo: This is My Team, why would I want to leave Boston?

Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo is in an interesting spot as we head into the 2013 NBA season. Coming off a torn ACL, no one is exactly Rondo will play this season and looking at the roster, it’s probably best he takes his team. With Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett in Brooklyn, Rondo now […]
