After he was acquired Suzuki hit .322 in 67 games. The now 39-year-old Suzuki appeared in 162 games last season. In each of his seasons in the majors he has appeared in 146 or more games. A few weeks ago it was reported that Suzuki and the Yankees were close to a deal worth $5 million, that deal subsequently fell though.
