Every week (usually when a good player plays against a bad team), there are players who put up crazy video game numbers. These guys need to be recognized for completely dominating, regardless of the competition.

This fantasy-structered team consists of one quarterback, two running backs, three wide receivers, one tight end, one kicker, and one defense.

QB David Piland (Sophomore, Houston)- The air raid tradition continues for the Cougars with a brand new slinger. Piland did Case Keenum justice with a record setting 77 passing attempts without an interception, breaking Keenum’s previous single game record by one. Piland finished 53-77 for 580 yards and four touchdowns. Unfortunately for Piland, Houston has no defense and lost to Louisiana Tech 56-49.

Honorable mention: QB Denard Robinson (Michigan)- 208 yards passing yards, 218 rushing yards, and four total touchdowns against Air Force.

RB Johnathan Franklin (Senior, UCLA)- Franklin is back in 2010 form with a major confidence boost from Jim Mora. With 217 yards on 26 carries, J-Frank ran for his 2nd consecutive game of 200+ yards against a ranked Nebraska team. The halfback also added 59 receiving yards and a touchdown in the victory.

RB Kenjon Barner (Senior, Oregon)- Barner will try to do his best LaMichael James impression with multiple performances similar to last Saturday’s. Barner registered 201 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 34 carries against Fresno State.

Honorable mention: RB Branden Oliver (Buffalo)- 25 carries for a week-leading 238 rushing yards and two touchdowns against Morgan State.

WR Andre Davis (Sophomore, South Florida)- Davis proved to be a deep threat with 12 receptions, 191 yards, and two 50-yard+ touchdowns against Nevada. This showing was a lot better than his lone reception in the season opener.

WR Alex Neutz (Junior, Buffalo)- Morgan State didn’t have a good day this Saturday. If Oliver wasn’t enough, Neutz added 154 yards and four touchdowns.

WR Justin Hunter (Junior, Tennessee)- Tyler Bray is going to do his best to make a star out of Justin Hunter this season. In a blowout game vs Georgia State, Hunter collected 8 receptions for 146 yards with three touchdowns.

Honorable mention: WR Tracy Moore (Senior, Oklahoma State)- 8 catches worth 106 yards and four touchdowns against Arizona.

TE Chris Coyle (Junior, Arizona State): Coyle had his coming out party with a huge game against Illinois. With 10 receptions for 131 yards and two touchdowns, ASU just might have finally found a legitimate receiving threat.

Honorable mention: Devin Funchess (Freshman, Michigan)- Funchess caught four balls for a week TE-leading 106 yards and one touchdown.

K John Bonano (Senior, Arizona)- Nothing crazy, but went 3 for 3 with 6 XP.

Honorable mention: K Chris Boswell (Rice)- Went 4-4 with an XP against Kansas.

DST Southern Methodist- Stephen F. Austin didn’t fare well in this uneven shutout. SMU had 6 picks, 4 fumble recoveries, 2 sacks, and 4 defensive touchdowns.

Honorable mention: DST TCU- Gave up 70 total yards, had one interception, three sacks, and two defensive touchdowns against Grambling State.
