Adam Dunn's resurgent season continued Monday night in a gargantuan way. The Chicago White Sox slugger's most important home run in what would end up being a loss to the Toronto Blue Jays was his game-tying shot in the ninth inning. The homer that everyone should be talking about, though, came earlier in the game. Dunn clobbered a round-tripper in the fourth inning that went an estimated 469 feet at Rogers Centre in Toronto. And the only thing that stopped the ball from traveling a country mile was, in fact, Dunn's face. The ball ended up crashing into the video...

RotoWire MLB Depth Chart Analysis
Rather than discuss the merits of the White Sox's temporary carousel at designated hitter (A.J. Pierzynski and Dayan Viciedo should see the bulk of the time there with Adam Dunn subbing at first), I thought it might be more interesting/useful to take a more macro look at the rest of the season. More specifically, which parks have been the best and worst for hitters of both hands...

Kevin Youkilis goes into stands for sweet catch
Although Kevin Youkilis is known more for his bat that his glove, he flashed some excellent leather on Tuesday night at Rogers Centre against the Blue Jays.
Youkilis made an inning ending catch in foul territory in the second inning on a foul ball hit hit by David Cooper. The White Sox third baseman tracked down the ball as it was headed towards the third base stands, and made the...

Konerko gets cleared to resume physical activity
The Chicago White Sox's lineup just doesn't look the same when the team captain is out of it. That was evident once again Monday night, as Chicago struggled to score runs in the 3-2, 11-inning loss to the Toronto Blue Jays. That meant Adam Dunn carrying the load with two solo homers, but having to play first base with Paul Konerko out. That meant catcher A.J. Pierzynski...
The Brent Morel Experiment: Replacing Baseball’s Worst Players
Baseball’s superstars are what make the game fun. They are often credited for a team’s success and blamed for a loss, but the fact of the matter is that the best players have similar impact as the rest of the guys in the lineup and in their respective rotations. Baseball is not the NBA wherein usage rates for the games’ best players frequently goes above 40%. Michael...

Apologies for the sporadic Tater Trot Tracker posts recently. It's something that happens in the long grind of the baseball season, I suppose. Maybe I should talk to Jose Canseco about better managing my time?
Let's get to the trots!
