It's like this dude just tries to come up with **** to make himself look bad... After being removed for pinch hitter Eric Chavez in Game 1 of the ALCS, A-Rod shifted his focus to what he as going to hit after the game. According to a report by the New York Post, Rodriguez was flirting with two female fans from the dugout, and had a ball boy assist him in scoring some digits. A-Rod had the ball boy toss the women a baseball inscribed with a message asking for their phone numbers. This cheesy game apparently worked: witnesses said that one woman wrote on the ball and threw it back to A-Rod, who gave her a big smile. The thing is, the girls in question aren't even that hot. Not bad, but definitely not worth landing your ass in the tabloids for the thousandth time. Picture below... A-Rod apparently glanced back more times after that, finally stopping once Derek Jeter broke his ankle. Good to know it takes your SS shattering his ankle trying to make a play f...

Brett Gardner Could Start Game 3

From Andrew Marchand:With the idea of shaking up the lineup going into Game 3 against the Detroit Tigers’ ace Justin Verlander, Yankees GM Brian Cashman said that Brett Gardner could be a starting outfielder. "He still might play a role in this thing," Cashman said on ESPN New York 98.7 FM’s "The Michael Kay Show." "You could very well see Gardner...

'Sensitive' Swisher says Yankees fans blaming him for Jeter's injury

Nick Swisher is a lot of different things to a lot of different people — overrated agitator to opponents or pie-throwing cheerleader to his teammates. But one thing the gregarious New York Yankees slugger never thought he would be is an outcast with his beloved Bleacher Creatures out in right field. Now it looks like the crowd favorite is hearing things from the fans he's...

Pitcher arm health: the more we learn, the more we have to learn

The dominant storyline of the last half of the MLB regular season was no doubt Stephen Strasburg, his surgically repaired elbow, and the decision to shut him down.  After the Nationals were eliminated Friday night, the proliferation of “told you so” columns was somewhat muted, given that the Nats squandered a six run lead in [...]

Child, please: The 2012 Yankees are not the 2004 Red Sox

Warning: long rant ahead! I knew the Yankees were going to lose the game last night when I first saw Joe Girardi's bizarro world lineup. When you're going up against one of the best pitchers in baseball in Justin Verlander, you should have your best lineup. And Girardi didn't. Not only was Brett Gardner, somebody who should have gotten at-bats earlier, batting leadoff...

Thoughts From A Dejected Yankee Fan

This postseason has been interesting to say the least. About two weeks ago, I would have told you that the Yankees were going to sweep the Orioles in the ALDS. Their ace was pitching Game 1; the winningest pitcher in postseason history was going in Game 2, followed by their most consistent pitcher all season in Game 3. As we now know, the Yankees-Orioles series wasn’t that easy...

Donald Trump blames Jeter’s injury and A-Rod struggling on not living in his apartments

Donald Trump ripped Alex Rodriguez again! Donald Trump has never been shy to voice his opinion. But one would think Trump is just being facetious with his tweets about Derek Jeter’s broken ankle injury. Alex Rodriguez may be a different story though as Trump is pretty blunt on Alex’s struggles. Trump says Alex was only good because the drugs made him great. A-Rod is just not...
