In a 10-4 victory against the Braves, Blanco stole three bases and scored three runs, which neither Mays nor Barry Bonds had done. Bonds' father, Bobby, was one of three San Francisco Giants to accomplish the feat. Kevin Mitchell and Darren Lewis are the others.
Blanco also hit a single for his third RBI of the year.
This from a guy who had accomplished next to nothing all season. Before a victory that gave the Giants the season series against Atlanta, five games to one, Blanco had scored twice and stolen one base.
