What does this mean? The Yankees may offer Freddy Garcia arbitration in an effort to retain him on a one-year deal for the 2012 season. Should Garcia decline, perhaps with hopes and dreams of one final long(ish) term deal to close out his career, the Yankees would receive a supplemental round draft pick in the 2012 Amateur Draft if and when he signed elsewhere. New York Yankees Exercise Robinson Cano’s Club Option…Obviously
In a move that is so obvious that it didn’t even need reporting, the New York Yankees exercised the $14 million club option on second baseman Robinson Cano’s contract. Considering that Robinson Cano is, hands down, the best second baseman in the game, this decision by the New York Yankees was beyond a no-brainer. The only question regarding Robinson Cano going forward...
Yankees have until midnight to prevent Sabathia from Free Agency

Sabathia Stays with the Yankees
CC Sabathia and the Yankees agreed to a one year extension. I’m not surprised at this. The opt out was to see if CC liked New York. Since he did, and the Yankees like him, keeping him in the fold was fairly easy.
