Donald Trump is one of the most well-known Alex Rodriguez haters in America. There is no shortage of A-Rod haters with the way the 2012 postseason has gone, but Trump leads the pack. He’s been quick to take shots at Rodriguez oftentimes in the past, but Tuesday afternoon may have been the hardest The Donald has ever come down on him.
“I would terminate his contract, personally,” Trump told The Michael Kay Show on ESPN New York 98.7 FM. “I think George (Steinbrenner) would’ve done that. I would terminate his contract on the basis that when he signed, he didn’t say that he took drugs. Since he signed his contract, they found out that he took drugs. … He actually admitted that he took drugs. Now he’s not taking drugs anymore, and without the drugs, he’s a less than average player.”
Trump added that he had a “bad experience” with A-Rod when he lived in his tower in New York. He would not go into detail about what happened but simply said he is not a fan of him as a person or a player.
“I don’t think he’s an asset, I think he’s a liability to the Yankees,” Trump continued. “They’re paying him $30 million a year, and he strikes out every time he comes up in a playoff game. How about like $1 million instead of $30 million, because that’s what he’s worth?”
Rodriguez was recently voted one of the most overrated players in baseball by his peers and is obviously one of the most overpaid players in the game, but that’s how baseball contracts work. If you want to land a player in his prime, you have to accept that you’ll be paying way too much for him when he’s in his late-30s. That’s exactly what has happened with A-Rod, it just happens to be magnified on the postseason stage.

  • Why does "The Donald" think that he has to chime into the media on every possible subject. THis man is a failure, he has more bankruptcies than just about anyone, He has defrauded thousands and has major court cases against him over these frauds. For instance his company did a building in Ft Lauderdale, they took contracts and deposits on a large number of units in the building, this money should have been in escrow. The project failed and was a ghost tower, now it has been foreclosed on and turned into something else...but those buyers cannot get their deposits back. You go to jail for this most places.

All Trump has is a fake facade, a big mouth and an ego the size of texas.
    What a pig.

Intelligent investors FIRED the Donald many many years ago.
  • Does Trump even know what a contract is? In order to cancel his contract you have to catch him using. Reality check! He aint playing worth crap hense he aint using. I always thought that Steinbrenner was an idiot for offering him that much money. Yeah kick him off the team. He ends up soaking up the rays in the Carribean collecting 30 million a year. The Donald has never made a dime without borrowed money. What is it, do people move to New York and immediately start taking stupid pills?
  • The Rod is definitely over the hill unless some miracle potion is dropped in his cereal every morning. The Rod can now sit at 30 mil per year or he can play at 30 mil per year or the Yanks can give him his walking papers at 30 mil per year. If I were the Yanks I would be praying for a miracle.
  • I think he disrespected his team when he was benched in the playoffs,(Flirting and getting phone numbers). For this his team should fine him and get some of their money back and his girlfriend should dump him for dissing her on national TV.
  • Completely agree with "The Donald" .... A-Rod is an A-Hole and a loser. He's a cancer in the Yankee system. Off the club and out of the line-up and the Yankees improve. I've played a lot of baseball and never seen a ball player so arrogant after striking out 3-4 times in a row .... and, in clutch situations!
Anyone can hit gopher balls over the fence when your team is ahead 10-2. Hate to see a class team pulled down by an over-paid, underperforming snollygoster!
  • Did Trump's mother have any children that lived?Who gives diddly about him or A Rod?
  • Both rich and run around with models,,,and in that case so does Tom Brady.
  • ARod should be put out to stud.
  • who in the hell cares, what donald thinks, tell his wife and kids no one else is interested, we re not getting paid to listen to him, marry him, or have his kids
  • Why does this guy(Trump) think he is even relevant? who died and told him he was God! he should just shut his F****** mouth, and go get a hair cut and new image.
  • trump loves t hire companies to do work for him not pay them for months and then low ball them on the money. i know from working with a company in new york. but he's right a rod is an idiot and has an ego out of this world.
  • with wilson as a girlfriend he's getting phone numbers at a championship game? while its being played!. i wonder what the boss would have thought about all of this?
  • Oh shut the helll up Chump, er I mean Trump, nobody cares what you think. Just take your sorry hair piece and go away.

Report: Landing Adrian Peterson too costly for Cardinals

Despite what head coach Bruce Arians says, the Arizona Cardinals do have some significant holes on their roster to fill. One of the biggest ones is at running back. Arizona finished second to last in total rushing yards for the 2014 season and averaged a league-low 3.3 yards per carry. It would be hard to find a better upgrade at the position than Adrian Peterson, but apparently...
