Credit: Steven Robles – SFGiantsBaseball.net Yesterday the San Francisco Giants beat the Rangers 2-1. Madison Bumgarner was on point and outshined the Rangers’ Yu Darvish. Kensuke Tanaka is a former teammate of Darvish. They played together in Japan for the Nippon Ham Fighters. Tanaka singled off Darvish, and then poured salt in the wound by stealing a bag off of him as well. I would say Tanaka won that friendly battle. John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle jokingly asks (via Twitter) if Tanaka is stealing his signs? If you haven’t heard by now, Andres Torres took us back a couple decades by going Bo Jackson style! Torres broke a bat over his leg after striking out. Torres even has the Giants young talent wanting to follow in his footsteps. Prospect Gary Brown tweeted, “I need to learn how to break a bat over my knee.” I’m sure he’s joking around, and not willing to risk injuring his legs. He’s the Giants future speedster on the base paths and center fielder! Are you watching o...

Player Profile #36: Matt Cain | SP | SF

In three seasons from 2009-2011, Matt Cain was a great fantasy option for his perennially low ERA and WHIP. Unfortunately, his strikeout totals were lacking and kept him from being an SP1 in all but the deepest fantasy leagues. That changed last year as Cain’s Ks finally made the leap. From 2009-2011, those three great [...]
