“Success is determined by those whom prove the impossible, possible.” – James W. Pence  Yankee Stadium This past weekend the New York Yankees won two of three games in the Rogers Centre, the home/dome of the Toronto Blue Jays. The Bronx Bombers are 7-3 in their last 10 games, and boost a 10-7 record in what is still considered very premature in the regular season. With only 17-19 of the 162 regular season games complete, affirming any MLB team to be much of anything yet is just a fast track to disappointment. Which explains my hesitation in declaring this makeshift Yankees team to be defying the odds just yet. Still these castaways and fill-ins have been nothing short of a pleasant surprised, and it has left me with all sorts of emotions. So if you ever wanted to get in the head of a Yankees fan, here is your chance…. Admittedly, I was one of those fans riding in the Yankees are in big trouble bandwagon at the start of the season. Opening Day in the Bronx didn’t help, as it was depr...

By bunting, Travis Hafner yesterday broke the sacred Yankee Sluggers Code of Grandxeira

In the ninth inning of yesterday's bullpen-fueled heart attack, new Yankee Travis Hafner spat upon a grand tradition that extends to the final whiffs of the Giambino Curse: Facing an overwhelming defensive shift - six fielders jammed onto the right side - instead of taking his normal cuts, the honorable strikeout for a Yankee slugger, Hafner laid down a bunt.Naturally, he was...

Don’t heckle the Yankees on the road, they’re watching you

The New York Yankees don’t want you heckling their bullpen, those guys have a hard enough time keeping a lead for Mariano Rivera to finish teams off. This isn’t too much of a problem at their home park, but they take it very seriously while the team travels, as Justin Jackson of Sportto Network pointed out after the Yanks visited the Blue Jays this past weekend: I and many others...

Report: Yankees Security Guards Told Toronto Police, Security to Remove Fans at Blue Jays Game

The Yankees’ security entourage is so good that it can even spot trouble north of the border. Security guards traveling with the Yankees pointed out the fans and asked Toronto...
