Peraza seeking more playing time in 2nd half

Since he is one of their top young players, the Reds would like infielder Jose Peraza to get enough playing time in the big leagues so he can keep advancing his development. It hasn't been easy, however. Peraza entered Friday with 21 games played and 60 plate appearances since his second call-up on June 14.

Jose Peraza, 2016 Fantasy Outlook

Pretty high up the food chain of requirements for these posts is playing time with the major league club. I'm doing these rookie posts with an eye on redraft leagues. Can they be used for keeper leagues? Does a bear crap in the woods into a hollowed-out tree trunk and then yell to his bear wife, "Baby, do we have toilet paper in the other bathroom?" With that said, Jose Peraza...

Jose Peraza’s surprising promotion makes sense, if he stays for a bit

Howie Kendrick‘s injury could prove to keep him out awhile. It isn’t the first time in his career he has missed time due to a left hamstring injury. Fortunately, the Dodgers have a couple of capable fill-ins. Who ultimately fills that role remains to be seen. Jose Peraza, 21, was recalled from Triple-A on Monday and made his first career start in the majors. I will admit, it...

Braves prospect Peraza could challenge for MLB spot in 2015

ATLANTA -- Dressed for the formal occasion and accompanied by his fellow minor league standouts, Jose Peraza made his rounds at Turner Field last Saturday evening. Interviews. Autographs. The works. In some ways he blended in with the Atlanta Braves' other up-and-comers, but in other ways it's difficult for an organization's Minor League Player of the Year to fully immerse himself...
