Earlier this week, UFC president Dana White revealed Carlos Condit (Pictured) preferred not to break in his freshly-minted interim welterweight belt until 170-pound king Georges St-Pierre returned from injury. Many thought White would pump the breaks on that strategy because it would defeat the purpose of why he created the manufactured crown to begin with. However, MMA’s big boss revealed Wednesday that he not only agrees with Condit’s mindset, he would employ the exact same game plan. “If you’re Carlos Condit, you just fought [Jake] Ellenberger not too long ago, I’d wait for GSP,” White frankly stated at the post-fight press conference. After Ellenberger’s impressive victory over Diego Sanchez, many thought a rematch between he and Condit was the next logical bout to make.
