Yesterday it was reported that Terry Etim suffered an injury and was forced out of his upcoming fight with Joe Lauzon at “UFC on FOX 4: Shogun vs. Vera” and the UFC announced today that Jamie Varner has been tabbed as his replacement.
A former WEC lightweight champion, Varner recently made his return to the UFC at “UFC 146: Dos Santos vs. Mir” where he pulled off a stunning upset, knocking out highly touted prospect Edson Barboza in the first round.
“UFC on FOX 4: Shogun vs. Vera” takes place August 4th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
