I know very little about UFC, WEC or anything involving the sport of MMA, but I do know that if I’m going to a convention to meet and greet fighters involved in the sport you better believe I’d know who they are to see them.  Luckily for us not everyone is as diligent as I am, as you’re about to see in this hilarious prank video orchestrated by a couple guys attending a UFC Fan Expo in Las Vegas.

Spotting an empty table one of the dudes sits down and makes a fake name tag, then snap a few shots with the UFC banner in the background, as if they were preparing for a pre-fight press conference.

But it gets better.

The guys then decide to see what would happen if one of them asked their friend at the table for his autograph.  Faster than you can say Georges St. Pierre a lineup forms and the dude at the table spends the next little while signing autographs as UFC fighter “Chan Carlos,” welterweight champion of his mother’s backyard fighting league.

From the vlogger…

One guy actually stopped dead on his tracks and said “whoa whoa! Isn’t that the fighter from WEC?” Another had the guts to ask what my name was and unfortunately I couldn’t come up with a very creative fake name. My response was “I’m Chan…Carlos.” Great lie, use your real last name! Genius! I was about to say Chan Sung Jung who is a real WEC fighter but he doesn’t speak a lick of English so that wouldn’t have made sense.

Great prank fellas.  Now let’s see how many authentic “Chan Carlos” signed items show up on eBay in the next few weeks.
