To the surprise of nobody, featherweight Leonard Garcia (pictured) has been released from the UFC. In a somewhat surprising move, Bart Palaszewski has also been issued his walking papers. Both 145-pounders confirmed their unemployment status via Twitter. The UFC does not report fighter firings. However, Garcia and Palaszewski’s profiles have been deleted from UFC.com. Garcia owns a 15-11-1 professional record. Palaszewski stakes claim to an extensive 36-17 pro mark. He has lost four of his past five bouts under Zuffa’s watch, including his current three-fight skid.
