“UFC on FUEL TV: Munoz vs. Weidman” took place Wednesday inside HP Pavilion in San Jose, California.

Chris Weidman (Pictured) stepped out of the shadows and emerged into the spotlight to post a TKO victory over Mark Munoz in the show’s featured attraction.

A star was certainly born last night, but the question is, was the middleweight top contender spot cemented? Weidman thinks so because he respectfully called for a shot at 185-pound king Anderson Silva following the win.

He wasn’t surprised by the lack of tickets sold given the mid-week event.

White only made a brief cameo at the presser, as he had to hop a jet to Australia.

Weidman reiterated his desire to challenge middleweight champ Anderson Silva for his crown. He believes he can take him down and submit him.

Midway through the opening stanza, Te Huna claimed he broke his hand and foot.
