Season Recap: Danica Patrick will make her second start of the 2013 NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) season this weekend at Talladega Superspeedway. Patrick’s first start of 2013 also came at a superspeedway, at Daytona International Speedway in the NNS season opener. Starting in the 12th spot, Patrick quickly moved through the 40-car pack and found herself racing for the lead. Patrick went on to lead five laps before she experienced an electrical failure on lap 31, forcing an early retirement from the DRIVE4COPD 300 and relegating her to a 36th-place finish. Return to Talladega: Patrick will make her second start at the 2.66-mile Talladega Superspeedway. Patrick made her first start at the superspeedway last season, starting in 17th and working her way up through the field to lead a lap before eventually coming home with a top-15 finish, in 13th place. The event can also be heard live on MRN Radio as well as SiriusXM Radio, channel 90. Crew Chief Mike Greci on Talladega Superspeedway: “I’m looking forward to working with Danica again this weekend. I felt like we had a lot of chemistry the last time we worked together in Daytona. We were able to run up front and be in contention for a solid finish before we experienced an electrical failure. We have a great crew put together for this weekend, and I feel like we should be able to take the new chassis and compete for a solid finish.” Danica Patrick on Talladega Superspeedway: “I really enjoy racing at the superspeedways, and Turner Scott Motorsports has a great superspeedway package. We had a great run going in Daytona, and I’m hoping we can pick up where we left off. I have a great crew, and I feel like we have an opportunity to bring home a solid finish for AccuDoc Solutions, Go Daddy and TSM.”
