ESPNBoston.com’s Chris Forsberg is reporting that Boston Celtics forward Brandon Bass will miss anywhere from 10-14 days with inflammation in his right knee. Bass is definitely the Celtics’ top bench player and now Boston will be without a top big man coming off their bench. The news comes as a surprise to coach Doc Rivers who saw Bass play in three games last week. Bass reportedly injured his knee in a win against the New York Knicks Feb. 3. The Celtics are also without forward Jermaine O’Neal who is sidelined with a shoulder injury. Chris Wilcox has been filling in for him. Expect JaJuan Johnson to get a bulk of the playing time as Bass recovers from this injury. Follow Ryan Gaydos on Twitter: @RyanGaydos
