T-40 hours until the NBA's trade deadline, and in case you haven't noticed - there are a few Celtics related rumors floating around. And by a few, I mean a million (CelticsLife has all the latest trade buzz for you right here). However, the games do not end while GM's across the league ponder their team's future, and for the Celtics, their Rondo-less journey continued tonight in Denver, as they fell to the Nuggets 97-90. The Celtics were led by Jeff Green's 20 points off the bench, and Avery Bradley's season high 17 points. Denver was paced by Ty Lawson's 26-6-6 night, and Danilo Gallinari's 26-5-5 line. While the Celtics had played some good competition since losing Rajon Rondo for the season, all of their impressive wins had come at home. Miami, Denver the first time, the Clippers, Chicago, and the Lakers (or what's left of them) all had come in Boston. The only two road games during the 8-1 stretch? A 99-95 win against a below average Toronto ...

Celtics Rumors: Rajon Rondo available

Despite the injury, the Boston Celtics have made Rajon Rondo available for trade.  However, a deal is unlikely.  If the team were to get anything done, it would probably have to be after the season.  Right now, Rondo is rehabbing from a torn ACL. According to ESPN Boston, if the Celtics received an offer for Rondo, they would not immediately turn it down.  It's not beyond...

Ainge says he's not shopping Rajon Rondo, Broussard says he is

Some he said/she said stuff with less than two days to go before the trade deadline. Here's Danny Ainge: I’m not trading Rajon Rondo away for discounted dollars because he’s hurt. We collectively as an organization have decided not to do that. And now Chris Broussard: Sources say Boston willing to trade injured PG Rajon Rondo in right deal. For one reason or another a lot...

Video: Jeff Green highlights vs Denver Nuggets

Courtesy of OfficialCeltics Jeff Green had 20 points last night against the Denver Nuggets. He scored in a variety of ways, including mid-range jumpers and strong drives. He shot well, 8-12 overall from the field and 2-4 from 3. Unfortunately his efforts did not get the Celtics the win. You Take: How well did Jeff Green play last night? Sound off in the comments! You can follow...

Boston Celtics willing to trade Rajon Rondo if the deal is good enough

No one is untouchable on the Boston Celtics ... even Rajon Rondo. The Celtics star point guard, who is recovering from season-ending ACL surgery, is available if the price is right, ESPN's Chris Broussard reported. This makes sense if Boston is serious about acquiring Los Angeles Clippers point guard Eric Bledsoe, who has been discussed as the potential centerpiece of a deal...

Rondo's agent assured Rondo will not be traded

Agent for Rajon Rondo, Bill Duffy, tells USAT that Boston GM Danny Ainge assured him today the Celtics PG won't be traded. Story to come. — Sam Amick (@sam_amick) February 20, 2013 Another update in a crazy time before the trade deadline, this new information seems to be pretty plausible. Rondo is currently out with a season-ending injury, so his value would not be very high...

Celtics and Avery Bradley find winning hard without Rajon Rondo

The Celtics loss to the Denver Nuggets showed what has already been evident. That when the game gets tight and you need someone to get them in the right spots, Rondo is sorely missed.  It was painful to watch Avery Bradley and Courtney Lee drown under the responsibility of having to run a set play. Reality set in and the team reverted back to what it knows to do best; shoot jump...

Ainge is pissed at opposing GM's with loose lips

Boston Herald: But the Celtics leader was upset that the allegedly private conversations had been revealed. “Hogwash,” was his initial response. “You know what? I don’t comment on any trade rumors at all. It doesn’t do me any good to make any comments at all.” Reminded that each report had come in perspective, with the Celts asking more than a Rondo’s ransom, Ainge...

Afternoon Delight: Immediate Opening

The trade deadline netted Jordan Crawford for the C's - who should add depth to the 1 and 2 voids created by the injuries to Rajon Rondo and Leandro Barbosa (now with the Wiz).  But many feel the Celts came up short at the deadline in trying to plug their hole(s) at the 5 - and most certainly adding a "big" would now be Boston's primary goal. The expected route...

Report: Celtics Sign Former Lottery Pick, Louisville Star Terrence Williams

Terrence Williams, a former lottery pick and standout player at Louisville, is back in the NBA. Multiple reports stated Monday that the Celtics signed Williams to add depth to their bench, which has been decimated by injuries. Williams gives the Celtics 11 healthy players, rounding out a roster that was in a precarious position after the season-ending injuries to Rajon Rondo, Jared...

Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce Turning Back the Clock to Keep Celtics Contending Without Rajon Rondo

Kevin Garnett didn’t exactly make the dramatic All-Star game exit many Celtics fans had been hoping for when he cryptically leaked last week that this would be his last appearance in the event. He did take the floor as the starting center for the Eastern Conference, however, fulfilling his due diligence in the lineup and saluting the fans. The big man does, after all, have a surging...

Boston Celtics trade for Jordan Crawford, give back Leandro Barbosa to Washington Wizards

Well, we knew a backcourt of just Jason Terry, Courtney Lee, and Avery Bradley would not last the rest of the season, and sure enough, per Chris Forsberg at ESPN — the Celtics swapped the injured Leandro Barbosa for Jordan Crawford.Yes, he is another combo guard with little ball handing skills.  Yes the Celtics need a shooting guard with size or a point guard who can handle, and...

Recap: Anyone still awake?

You knew that the Lakers and their fans would be emotional tonight, and that L.A. would feed off of it, but the Celtics showed little resistance. Call it “tired legs”, second night of a back-to-back, blah blah. Boston just did not play defense tonight. Period. They fall 113-99 on L.A. As Doc told his troops at halftime, “they’re getting whatever they want..” Couldn’t...

Where we stand with all the trade rumors

We’re less than 24 hours from the NBA trade deadline, and the Celtics are in middle of just about every trade rumor out there.  So here’s a quick reset of where we stand with everyone on the roster.  We’ll run it down by order of roster number: Teams are asking about him, but he’s not being actively shopped.  The Timberwolves have interest, but Danny isn’t giving him...

Are the Celtics better off without making a major move

The Celtics players can exhale now that the trade deadline has past with barely a blip on the radar screen.  Boston has made some minor moves to add to their guard core, but still failed to address the donut hole in the middle. The one thing that makes me wander what the "#@#$", Doc Rivers and Danny have in mind for the race to the playoffs was the trade of Jason Collins...
