Found January 17, 2013 on NESN.com:
NBA All-Star voting is underway, and the Celtics are finally playing like a team that has a couple of All-Stars on its roster. Despite a hiccup on Wednesday night against the New Orleans Hornets, the C’s appear to be pulling things together, thanks in large part to their current “Big Three” of Kevin Garnett, Rajon Rondo and Paul Pierce. While Avery Bradley‘s return to the lineup has certainly helped the C’s — and plenty of other contributors are making their marks — it’s the same old faces that have been driving Boston all season long. Finally, it looks like they might be getting some results indicative of the effort. NESN.com NBA writer Ben Watanabe stopped by the podcast on Wednesday to discuss the Celtics’ latest hot streak with NESN Nation’s Dan Duquette. The two also discussed LeBron James‘ latest record, the disparity between the East and West conferences and much more. Listen in the player below, or subscribe on iTunes to download it there.

TALKING CRAZY

Noah's funny response to KG trash talk

Joakim Noah and Kevin Garnett have a history against each other, and Noah had a funny response when asked about KG's trash talk.

Rajon Rondo has some big hands in this new "This is SportsCenter" ad

Take note - You should NOT look down if you ever shake Rajon Rondo's hand.  John Anderson had to learn this lesson the hard way. Rondo's hands will consume you and make you feel like less of a man.  While we enjoy ridiculing ESPN here on a regular basis (who doesn't?), we have to admit that their "This is SportsCenter" commercials are a constant source...

Video: Celtics/Bulls postgame interviews (Rondo & Doc)

Celtics Minute with Molly McGrath - 1/18/13

Rajon Rondo talks about his first ever All-Star start and Molly previews tonights Celtics/Bulls game.

Video: Rondo and Garnett discuss possibility of being named All-Star starters

Rajon Rondo and Kevin garnett were both on pace to start the All-Star game with LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Carmelo Anthony. Rondo is basically assured of the spot, but KG was in a tight race with Chris Bosh. Would suck for Rondo to have to start with 3 Heat players and Carmelo Anthony. Hopefully Celtics fans voted a ton these final days and got KG the nod. Videos courtesy of Chris Forsberg.

Kevin Garnett Calls Anthony Davis ‘Freak of Nature,’ Says Hornets Rookie Makes Him Feel ‘Like a Midget’

BOSTON — On the surface, Anthony Davis seems to have a lot in common with a young Kevin Garnett. The lithe rookie for the New Orleans Hornets is just as freakishly athletic at 6-foot-10 as Garnett was as a 19-year-old for the Minnesota Timberwolves in 1995. Just like a young Garnett, Davis’ potential is clear despite a mostly up-and-down rookie campaign. Playing against Davis...

Rajon Rondo stars in latest ESPN SportsCenter commercial

ESPN has made its fair share of funny SportsCenter commercials over the years, and some people will probably find this one hilarious. Boston Celtics star point guard Rajon Rondo holds a team meeting and makes a point to shake everyone’s hand as they walk out. Little to they know Rondo has huge [...]

Joakim Noah whines about Kevin Garnett, again

After the game last night Joakim Noah (son of French professional tennis player Yannick Noah) was asked about playing defense against Kevin Garnett. Here's what Noah had to say: (I was) just playing defense. Just playing sound defense, just contesting his shots. He's a helluva competitor. He's always on some bulls---. Always on some bulls---. Just trying to throw elbows...

Joakim Noah Talks Up Kevin Garnett’s ‘Cheap Shots’ After Beating Celtics

On Friday night, after the Bulls beat the Celtics 100-99 in overtime, Joakim Noah said he didn’t want to talk too much, and especially not about Kevin Garnett, with whom Noah tangled again on Friday night and about whom Noah has had some pointed words in the past. So on Friday, Noah did not go as far as to say that Garnett was a dirty player, as he has alleged before. Instead,...

Trade Rajon Rondo?

Here we are, winners of 6 out of our last 10 games and trying to right our ship, lets see what the writers from Celticslife think in our newest addiction of 5 on 5: 1. The Celtics have been playing really well lately (other then that stinker the other night). What has been the difference? Terry P: Jeff Green. Now look, I have been hard on him PLENTY and still want to trade his...

Make Sure to Set a Reminder, Celtics-Bulls on ESPN.

(photo credit: Celticslife.com) Tomorrow night at 7 p.m the Boston Celtics will take on the Chicago Bulls at the TD Garden. After the loss to New Orleans on Wednesday, Rajon Rondo and Kevin Garnett are going to try to show the world why they were voted All-Stars during the prime-time exhibition game. The loss versus New Orleans broke the Celtics 5 game winning steak, so Doc Rivers...

Random Thoughts on KG, Melo and Trash Talk

A Garden technician holds a sensitive mic at Sunday's game to eavesdrop on what Carmelo Anthony and is opponents say. James Dolan ordered two of them to be used at each game to avoid more "he said, he said" situations like the one that arose between Anthony and Kevin Garnett.  There has been a lot said about KG's trash talking since something he said to Carmelo...

Underrated Stat of the Night - Bulls 1/18

The Celtics have lost. This one really sucked. We had a lead with a few seconds left in both the fourth and in OT, yet we couldn't catch a break. Rondo played amazing: putting in 30 points, 2 rebounds, and 7 assists. Unfortunately, he fouled out mid-way through overtime. This one stings and I just want to move on, but I won't. Tonight's underrated stat of the night...
