Well that was quick. Per the Celtics.
The Boston Celtics announced today that they have waived forward Kris Joseph.
Joseph, a 6'7" forward, was originally drafted by the Celtics with the 51st overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft. He appeared in 10 games split between Boston and Brooklyn and totaled 11 points and nine rebounds over 54 minutes. Joseph also appeared in 27 games split between the Springfield Armor and the Maine Red Claws of the NBA Development League averaging 18.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.7 steals in 34.0 minutes per game and was named to the All-NBDL Second Team. He was acquired by the Celtics in a trade with the Brooklyn Nets on July 12.
So Joseph's second stint with the team lasts precisely three days. You knew something had to be up when Danny Ainge said "We're still deciding what to do with Kris" at today's introductory news conference, and now we know exactly what they were planning on doing with him.

In what might have been the least enthusiastic press conference ever, the Celtics introduced Keith Bogans, MarShon Brooks, and Kris Humphries. Gerald Wallace was mercifully spared appearing at the press conference due to his youth basketball camp. Also missing was Kris Joseph and it was announced not long after the press conference ended that Joseph had once again been waived....
Paul Pierce said goodbye to the city of Boston and the Celtics with 44 photos on Instagram of himself and the team throughout the years of his career. “I cannot say it enough. Boston, you’ll always be a part of who I am.#THANKYOUBOSTON,”
The Boston Celtics officially introduced Keith Bogans, Kris Humphries and MarShon Broooks on Monday, the newest additions in their complete overhaul since trading Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce to the Brooklyn Nets last week.
The event did not attract much fan fare. And this is the photo the Celtics' official Instagram account decided to put out:

WALTHAM, Mass. — Kris Humphries doesn’t get it, but he gets it. He knows his relationship with Rajon Rondo is a source of amusement after their physical altercation spilled into the stands during a game in November. At the same time, he knows better than to call their run-in a “fight.”
Humphries is from Minnesota, after all, a region that shares some of New England’s passion...
From Yahoo! Sports Marc Spears.
Brazilian center Victor Faverani has agreed in principle to sign a three-year deal with the Celtics, a source told Yahoo! Sports.

Spears calls him Victor, but it's actually VITOR. We profiled Faverani here a while back when his link to the Celtics was first discussed. He's 6'11"...

Great video just came my way of a little kid in Houston responding to Shaquille O’Neal’s diss of Houston. The local ABC affiliate has footage of a VERY VERY animated kid. The kid was upset at Shaq for calling Houston a “little town”, comments which he did back track on later. The child made sure Shaq knows “Don’t ever disrespect Houston again”. I’m pretty sure...
On Monday the Boston Celtics introduced new players Keith Bogans, MarShon Brooks and Kris Humphries. None of the three guys looked happy to be there.
Standing holding their jerseys next to new head coach Brad Stevens and general manager Danny Ainge, the three men looked like they were about to face a firing squad. All three were acquired in the trade that sent Kevin Garnett, Jason...
Earlier this afternoon Danny Ainge, Brad Stevens, and the Boston Celtics introduced a few of the players they acquired in the deal that sent Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce to the Brooklyn Nets. Due to his involvement in a basketball camp back in his home state of Alabama, Gerald Wallace was unable to attend today's presser. However, Keith Bogans, MarShon Brooks, and Kris Humphries...
A.B. As of last weekend, Paul Pierce is officially no longer a member of the Boston Celtics. Considered by many to be one of the top 5 Celtics players of all time, Pierce spent the last 15 years as a member of the Green. During that span Pierce won an NBA Championship in 2008 and scored over 20,000 career points. So while Pierce’s career will continue, “The Truth” will take...

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump.
The Pistons are quite interested in Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo, but they don’t have a package to offer that would attract president of basketball operations Danny...

Rajon Rondo has watched all of his teammates from the 2007-08 NBA champion Celtics leave. If Rondo is the next to go (as it has been rumored), it won’t be to the Miami Heat.
Rondo vowed that he will never play with LeBron James and co. at the point guard’s basketball camp in Kentucky. Rondo has let it be well known in the past that he isn’t the biggest fan of the Heat. His...
Rajon Rondo told his campers yesterday at his summer basketball camp that he will never play for the Miami Heat. I just became a huge Rajon Rondo fan.-TO
