Last weekend, Dionte Christmas and his “Show Ya Love” squad won the 7th annual Rumph Classic held in Philadelphia. The tournament, named in memory of Danny Rumph, is held each year as a tribute to him. Rumph, who graduated from Parkway High in 2001, and went on to play hoops for Western Kentucky University, sadly passed away from Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy at the age of 21. This thickening of the heart muscle causes sudden cardiac arrest & strikes even the healthiest of victims with no warning.
Rumph’s family started the Daniel E. Rumph foundation in hopes of raising awareness and money to combat Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy or HCM. The foundation helps to provide defibrillators to local rec centers & high schools and also assists athletes in getting tested for Cardiomyopathy. The Rumph Classic is the cornerstone of the foundation, and each year it brings the city of Philly and it’s residents together to enjoy the game that Daniel Rumph loved.
This year, the tournament was...

It will be interesting to hear what the hold us was for this. I've never heard of a contract taking this long to get finalized. The most recent report we had on Green's contract was that it was a four-year deal for $36 million, which is most definitely overpaying...

Why I love Jason "Dagger Three" Terry
I loved the pick up of Jason Terry. Ever since I started watching him play I've nicknamed him "Dagger Three" because all he does is hit those threes that just crush the hearts of opponents. I also love him because of his enthusiasm, confidence, and loyalty to any team he plays for. The guy has already gotten a leprechaun tattoo on his forearm. Respect.
What I...
Video: Jason Terry "can't wait" for opening night
CSNNE:
"Until last year, when Miami won, the average age of an NBA championship team was 34 and up, and so that goes to tell you that you have to have that veteran experience, that leadership that knowing guys have been there before. And so, that's why I like our team. You got that with a good mix of young guys and you got yourself a championship contender."

When Dwight Howard and Josh Smith Were Celtics
I came across this photo and thought it was quite interesting. Believe it or not, both Josh Smith and Dwight Howard, along with Randolph Morris, were Celtics at one time. Unfortunately it wasn't the Boston Celtics, but the Atlanta Celtics when they played AAU basketball together. Howard is more than likely staying in LA, but there's still a chance that Josh Smith may...
Video: Paul Pierce "I Ball Like A Celtic" Mix
Short mix for the captain, but a quality one. If anyone knows the name of the artist who made the "I Ball Like A Celtic" track, please leave it in the comments section below. I do know the song that it samples though (And if you claim to be a hip-hop fan and don't, then shame on you).

The Top Five Greatest Celtics Teams: #2 2007-’08 Celtics
The acquisitions of Ray Allen (left) and Kevin Garnett (center) gave Paul Pierce (right) a reason to stay in Boston.
The 2007-’08 Boston Celtics come in at the second spot on this list. This team went from last to first thanks to two shrewd trades by President of Basketball Operations Danny Ainge.

Epic Nostalgia: Jason Terry Scores A Career High vs Dirk’s Mavs (2002)
Prior to joining the Mavericks, earning a Sixth Man Award, and winning the NBA Title, Jason Terry played 403 games for the Atlanta Hawks. Being that all 403 of these games took place during the regular season, this doesn’t represent the most memorable span of JET’s impressive career. I mean, seriously… when’s the last time you came across any sort of reference to...
