D.J. White is officially a member of your Boston Celtics. White worked out at Waltham today and met with the media (in case you couldn’t tell by the above photo). The MWDN’s Scott Souza: I will pick my spots on offense, but my main focus is on rebounding and defense. My experience in China was different than Terrence Williams. I was in Shanghai. He was in God knows where. New #Celtics center DJ White says he’s wearing No 12 – closest thing he could get to a single digit. From WEEI’s Ben Rohrbach: White says he chose the Celtics over “a couple” other teams. “I wanted to come here.” Rohrback also posted this short video of White shooting jumpers. Doc Rivers had a lot to say about Terrence Williams and Jordan Crawford. We’ll try to get that posted later this afternoon. Thanks to Molly McGrath for the White photo.

Doc wants Jordan Crawford to be an “aggressive scorer”

When Leandro Barbosa was lost for the season during a routine drive to the basket against the Bobcats, it left a size-able hole on the C’s bench.  Barbosa was finally getting into a groove, becoming the instant offense that the bench needed.  He would simply put his head down and attack the basket and create shots out of nothing.  Throughout the thousands of trade rumors and...

Video: Steph Curry drops 54 on the Knicks

If you missed Steph Curry last night, you missed one of the NBA’s all-time great shooting exhibitions.  Curry shot 18 of 28 from the field, including in insane 11 of 13 from 3. That “Phantom” video from the NBA gives you a nice look at the prettiest jumper in the NBA.  It’s absolutely perfect form.   And last, there was almost nothing the Knicks could do to stop it…...

Stephen Curry Is ‘Best Shooter in Our League,’ Doc Rivers Says After 54-Point Performance

Fifty-four points. Eleven 3-pointers. Eleven for 13 from 3-point land, and 64 percent field goal shooting overall. One very, very pretty stroke. The Celtics get the next look at Curry and the Warriors, on Friday night, and there’s...

Doc Rivers Adds Defensive Wrinkle to Slow Down Stephen Curry in Celtics’ Win Over Warriors

BOSTON — It was not a rhetorical question, though it may have seemed like one. As the Celtics prepared Friday morning to face the Golden State Warriors that night, coach Doc Rivers wondered aloud, “How many times have they been zoned?” The answer was about what one would expect against a squad like the Warriors, who have arguably the league’s top shooting backcourt in Stephen...

Manny Pacquiao's "wild rabbit" analogy in his new commercial for a certain alcoholic beverage is one to take notice of. You may be asking yourself, "why" or "so what"? The point is, every NBA team chases the same "wild rabbit" of...
