PLAYERS: Rajon Rondo
TEAMS: Boston Celtics

We often wonder what opposing teams, their beat reporters and bloggers are saying about the Celtics. Here’s a look at some enemy chatter from San Antonio. Parker dominated his individual matchup with fellow All-Star Rajon Rondo, outscoring him by 16 and nearly matching him in assists, eight to nine. He also had four steals to none for Rondo, who was so quiet for most of the game it seemed as if he hadn’t suited up. Parker made the exact opposite impression, sinking a rare 3-pointer and a series of circus shots down the stretch as he carried the Spurs on his back. Spurs Nation No gripe here. Rondo was a no-show, by his standards. KWAPT said as much in the game recap. I’m starting to lose my optimism with this team. Something isn’t right…

Rajon Rondo Debuts the Nike Foamposite One “Fighter Jet”

Last night the C’s fell to the Bulls. The one and only stand out of the game was Rondo’s new Nike Foamposite One “Fighter Jet” sneakers. Sneakerheads had Twitter buzzing from the moment Celtic’s guard hit the court. Also known as the “White Camos”, Nike plans to release these premium Foamposite Ones on January 1st. This model is highly anticipated despite having a...

Rajon Rondo Hosts "King of the Rock" Competition

The Boston Celtics have Monday off and will be in Chicago to take on the Bulls on Tuesday. Their All-Star point guard has some interesting off-day plans, though. Rajon Rondo is out west on Alcatraz Island, just a short distance from San Fransisco. Rondo is a well-known partner of Red Bull and now he is hosting a huge event for the energy drink company. The "King of the Rock...

Rondo Vs. James: All Hail King Rondo

For those of you who are new to TSHQ, first of all welcome. Grab a seat. Would you like a drink? I believe K.M. Venne and Cole Zwicker were just discussing the intricacies of JaVale McGee’s self-indulgent retweets of himself over a fine burbon whiskey. Toward the early days of this sites inception onto the world wide web I penned a short article about why Rajon Rondo was more important...

Celtics-Bulls Live: Rajon Rondo May Put C’s On His Broad Shoulders in Chicago

8 a.m. ET: Some people within the Celtics organization fancy Rajon Rondo an MVP candidate. It is far to early to say if that is right or wrong, but if the point guard wants to build his case, a game like Tuesday’s would be a good place to start. Rondo and the Celtics (12-11) come to Chicago losers of two straight, once again fighting to stay above .500 and ahead of the Sixers in...

C's don't really have a scorer lately. Is that a problem?

Does someone else need to start scoring? After the Celtics 95-94 OT loss in Philly a little over a week ago, Magic Johnson said something on the ESPN post-game show that has stuck with me.  Magic stated that in order for Boston to contend, Rajon Rondo was going to have to score 20-25 points a game.  While I don't believe Rondo is about to be that guy, I am starting to wonder...

Recap: The two most annoying Bulls beat crap out of the Celtics

We’re using this photo way too much this year… Nate Robinson bugged the **** out of me when he was with the Celtics with is ill-advised threes… but Doc Rivers always said he would occasionally win you a game.  He did tonight for the Bulls, dropping 5 of 7 three pointers in a 100-89 Bulls win.  To add to this craptastic effort, Joakim Noah dropped a triple double on the C’s...

Boston 89, Chicago 100 - Effort Not There as Celtics Fall in Chicago

To win in the NBA, it takes effort. The Boston Celtics did not bring enough effort, losing to the Chicago Bulls, 100-89. The Celtics were able to keep things close through three quarters, but let things get away from them in the final frame. There was just a supreme lack of defensive intensity all night, as the Bulls scored 24-plus points in all four quarters. The Bulls were quicker...

Tired Celtics Fall to Spurs 103-88

The Celtics dropped their second straight game, falling to the San Antonio Spurs 103-88. It was the second of back to back games and although the Celtics hung with the Spurs in the first half, they played from behind for much of the game and clearly ran out of gas in the second half and that's when the Spurs took advantage and raced out to a double digit lead. Boston Celtics...

Celtics-Bulls Preview

Kirk Hinrich's return didn't prevent the Chicago Bulls from finishing with their lowest point total in five seasons. Now they are hoping Hinrich can help slow down Rajon Rondo and the Boston Celtics. The turnover-prone Rondo turned in a huge effort the first time these teams met last month, and his Celtics will try to end a four-game road slide Tuesday night. Hinrich returned...

Tonight the Spurs and Celtics will clash in San Antonio and Celtics blogger John Karalis of Red's Army weighs in on the matchup. In a nutshell, John is expecting the Celtics to shock the Spurs tonight and escape San Antonio with the win. Here is what he had to say on tonight's Spurs-Celtics game.   So the Celtics have played a double overtime game where Paul Pierce...

5 things to watch: Spurs vs. Celtics

The San Antonio Spurs (18-6) will look to erase a two-game losing streak tonight as they host the Boston Celtics (12-10) tonight in San Antonio. The Celtics lost to the Spurs 112-100 in Boston back in November. The Spurs to shoot 58.3% and had three players finish with 20 or more points led by Tony Parker with 26, Tim Duncan with 20, and Tiago Splitter with 23. The Celtics were...
