Life is Just a Fantasy ... Basketball...:
Several teams have shown interest in Atlanta Hawks forward Josh Smith, but the franchise hasn't decided whether to move J-Smoove.
Fox Sports' Sam Amico broke down the list, which includes Phoenix, Dallas, Charlotte, Houston, New
Orleans and Sacramento. One of those franchises stands out to Amico: The Kings.
"The Kings, in particular, make sense because
expiring deals are always appealing to new ownership groups that want to
start fresh. The Kings also have plenty of rising talent that could
tempt someone in [Atlanta GM Danny] Ferry’s position. That said, Ferry could just as
easily sit tight and wait for the season to end. Just imagine the freed
salary cap space if he did."
Smith isn't the only Hawks player drawing interest. Guys on expiring deals -- Kyle Korver, Anthony Morrow, Zaza Pachulia,
Anthony Tolliver and Devin Harris -- could also be nice trade chips, Amico writes.
Then again, the Hawks could wait for free agency and make a...

ATLANTA Nineteen days. Its a span that will decide if Josh Smith plays the remainder of this season in a Hawks uniform or someone else's.
Its Smith's No. 5 that's the dominant jersey on the backs of those in the Philips Arena seats and the face of the College Park, Ga. native along with Lou Williams of Snellville that appears on a billboard in metro Atlanta proclaiming...
ATLANTA -- The Hawks have two games in two days starting on Tuesday, with coach Larry Drew currently viewing Devin Harris and center Zaza Pachulia as doubtful for the first game at Indiana.
As a result, when it comes to the depleted backcourt, Drew might have to lean more on rookie guard John Jenkins, the team's first-round pick in 2012.
The veteran point guard Harris has...
Josh Smith trade rumors sprung up this past week, with the Phoenix Suns reportedly interested (and then not) in J-Smoove.
ESPN's Marc Stein reported that Atlanta is "gauging the trade value of their players and assessing their
options." But the Hawks won't be moving J-Smoove without receiving "a bona fide star player" in return.
The Hawks won'...
Danny Ferry may have complete control of the NBA trading deadline.
Ferry is in his first season as general manager of the Atlanta Hawks, and perhaps no man in sports possesses more moveable pieces and parts.
And judging by Ferrys mega-deal weeks after taking the job, when he jettisoned Joe Johnson to Brooklyn, you have believe he has a little wheeling and dealing in his blood....
What is the Hawks all-time record in Game 7's in the playoffs?
3 wins; 8 losses
ATLANTA -- The Chicago Bulls, playing without three of their starters for the second consecutive night, beat the Atlanta Hawks 93-76 Saturday night at Philips Arena. The Bulls (29-18) may have been missing Kirk Hinrich, Joakim Noah and Carlos Boozer, but they still had leading scorer Luol Deng. He scored 25 points and pulled down a season-high 14 rebounds. Taj Gibson, who played...
The Atlanta Hawks and Memphis Grizzlies are struggling to find consistency, and recent sloppy play has only made that more difficult.
Atlanta hopes to correct those mistakes and beat the visiting Grizzlies for the 11th time in 13 meetings on Wednesday night.
The Hawks (26-21) have dropped 11 of 17 games after going 17-6 over the previous 23 as they seemed to be a factor in the...
