Shaquille O’Neal joined in on some of the Super Bowl festivities in New Orleans over the weekend, but from the sound of it he didn’t feel the need to hit any strip clubs or stroll down Bourbon Street looking for women. Instead, Shaq reportedly had his sights set on “Entertainment Tonight” co-host Rocsi Diaz.

According to the New York Post’s Page Six, Shaq attended a private party at the Hookah Lounge on Saturday night where he had his “complete attention” on Diaz.

“Shaq and Rocsi were holding hands at this private party and at a private table,” a source reportedly told Page Six. “They looked like an odd couple, but they seemed really into each other.”

They may have looked odd to outsiders, but it sounds like Diaz is just Shaq’s type. Like his former fiancee Nicole “Hoopz” Alexander, Diaz is 5 feet 2. She is a former host of BET's "106 & Park" and was in New Orleans reporting for “Entertainment Tonight.” Diaz’s rep confirmed to Page Six that she was at the party and said Diaz and Shaq are very good friends. If she’s into guys who like taking their shirts off, it could be a match made in heaven.

Breaking down every shot in Jason Terry’s hot streak

Jason Terry hasn’t been shy about mentioning how much he loves the new spread offense the Celtics are running.  You can say that’s a shot at Rondo for how he had been playing or at Doc for the offense he’d installed… but the fact remains, Terry is thriving. And in this wild week of “We’re better off without Rondo” vs. “We’re not better off without him,” Terry...

Kevin Garnett Still Has No-Trade Clause, So Be Skeptical of ‘Reports’ About Celtics’ Trading Him

As a friendly reminder, Kevin Garnett still has a no-trade clause. This is not a complicated situation, really, which makes it rare in the world of NBA transactions — or in this case, non-transactions. As several reports noted last summer, Garnett secured his no-trade clause while taking a sizable pay cut, keeping him among a small minority of respected stars who cannot be dealt...

Here’s Your Chance To Play H-O-R-S-E Against Paul Pierce

Ever wondered what it’d be like to get demolished in a game of H-O-R-S-E by a current NBA star? Well, if you live in Massachusetts, you have a chance — a slim one, but still, a chance. The state lottery has teamed with the Celtics to allow one lucky fan the chance to go toe-to-toe with Celtics star Paul Pierce for what could be the quickest game of H-O-R-S-E in basketball history...

Live Game Updates - Clippers @ Celtics

12:35: Welcome to Super Bowl Sunday CG readers. Unlike most people, I'll be more interested in the NBA action today rather than the game tonight. We all know that neither the Patriots nor my Packers made it, so it's tough to get motivated. Besides, this game'll probably be more exciting anyway. The Clippers are 34-14, the Celtics are 23-23. Boston is 16-9 at home while...

Celtics Still Have What It Takes to Beat Miami in Playoffs Despite Injuries to Jared Sullinger, Rajon Rondo (Podcast)

The Celtics may have lost both Rajon Rondo and Jared Sullinger for the season due to injuries, but the team’s recent play wouldn’t suggest any problems. Boston has won four in a row since Rondo went down, and the team appears to be rolling right along despite whatever injury troubles pop up. While Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce‘s names swirl in trade rumors, however, the Celtics...

Bill Simmons dares ESPN to punish him for ripping Goodell?

ESPN’s Bill Simmons sometimes goes off the rails in very un-ESPN-like fashion. As a result, he’s part of a small group of key faces at the Worldwide Leader who are sometimes penalized by their employer for going too far. It’s debatable whether Simmons went too far with his latest diatribe against NFL commissioner Roger Goodell on Monday, but it does appear as though — in...
