Bobcats Coach Mike Dunlap Calls Paul Pierce ‘Salty Dog Warrior,’ Apparently Means It as Compliment
BOSTON — Mike Dunlap needs to work on giving compliments.
The Bobcats coach was apparently being flattering of Paul Pierce, the workmanlike star of the Celtics, when he praised Pierce is the weirdest way possible on Saturday. After saying a bunch of normal things about the way Pierce controls the game and always gets the shot he wants, Dunlap got really creative with his admiration...
Paul Pierce Hopes Heat Loses All Of Their Remaining Games
You can’t tune out the fact that the Miami Heat have won 20 straight games and are now tied for the third-longest winning streak in NBA history. The longest, 33 in a row, was done by the 1971-72 Los Angeles Lakers. But, if you ask Paul Pierce what he thinks about the potential of playing the Heat on a 22-game win streak come Monday, he simply doesn’t care and if truth be told...

Celtics not impressed by Heat winning streak
"I really don't even care. I hope they lose every game the rest of the season. I just worry about what this team does"-Paul Pierce
I just love this team. No other team in the league is as hardcore as
the Celtics. They don't care about being liked and what other teams/fans think of them. They embrace the rivalry they have with the Heat and
don't try to suck...
Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce Continue to Play Large Roles in Celtics’ Move Up in Playoff Standings (Audio)
It wasn’t that long ago that rumors were swirling about drastically changing the Boston Celtics roster to make a playoff run, but after no blockbuster trades were made, the C’s find themselves sitting pretty in the standings and working with what they have.
Only 3 1/2 games back of the New York Knicks in the division standings, the Celtics can almost look back to earlier in the...
Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce Connected By More Than Just Gaudy Statistics in Sincere Friendship
BOSTON — Twenty years from now, in a break in the action during a Celtics game at the new TD Garden, some precocious little girl or some meathead from the South Shore will show up on the video screen for one of those fan trivia contests. At stake will be a free Apple iChip, the digital music device that is installed directly into the user’s skull, and the question will hearken...
Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett’s Much-Needed Rest May Favor Celtics Over Heat on Monday
The Boston Celtics may have found themselves in a relatively light week — light enough that they’ve made an obvious effort to give Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett more rest than usual — but they’ll be right back in the swing of things this Monday. NBA odds favor the reigning champion Miami Heat in the March matchup, but the last time these two clubs met the veteran C’s came...

Many fans are in awe and are amazed by the Miami Heat’s win-streak this season, as they have extended it to 20 games. The Heat have a good shot at breaking the Los Angeles Lakers four-decade record of most consecutive wins, with 33.
However, the biggest challenge will be on Monday, March 18 when they face the Boston Celtics. Ironically...

Recap: Second half surge leads to blowout of Raptors
The Celtics took a 9 point lead into the half, but with about two and a half minutes to go in the third, the C’s hit the gas and left the Raptors in the rear view mirror. They crushed the Raps 112-88 for their 10th straight home win. The Celtics bench was a giant part of the blowout, outscoring the Raptors bench 58-29.

Comments from the Other Side - Raptors 3/13
It was sad to see 4 pages on one game thread and 19 on another. Those game threads used to have over 100 pages every game. The Celtics did get the benefit of some calls last night. I'm amazed at how many fans hate their head coach. Makes me very thankful for Doc. Good game for the Celtics. Not so much for the Raptors. Enjoy today's comments...
