Agent for Rajon Rondo, Bill Duffy, tells USAT that Boston GM Danny Ainge assured him today the Celtics PG won't be traded. Story to come.

Another update in a crazy time before the trade deadline, this new information seems to be pretty plausible. Rondo is currently out with a season-ending injury, so his value would not be very high. Ainge also has indicated that he will not sell low on Rondo, so an assurance like this wouldn't be too drastic. But this does potentially kill some of the potential deals floated around that have Rondo possibly going to Atlanta for Josh Smith. Rondo's fate will not be certain until after the deadline, but it looks as if he is staying in Boston.
