Found November 05, 2013 on Celtics Life:
I couldn't find a picture of Wallace shooting. 1. No offense down the stretch: The Celtics have lost all four games they've played this year by margins of 6, 7, 10, and 7 points again.  They have even held a lead in the 4th quarter on every occasion.  In fact, through three quarters this season the C's have actually outscored their opponents 284-271.  Unfortunately they've only been able to put up an average of 16.5 points in the 4th quarter (they're averaging 23.67 points in quarters 1-3), and they've been beaten by a combined total of 109-66 in the final period.  Because of this they have yet to score 100 in a game this season, and the only time they even reached 90 was when they already had 63 at halftime. 2. Gerald Wallace can play A LOT of minutes without scoring: In the home opener Wallace was on the floor for 36 minutes, and managed 14 points.  But, in the other three games he has a combined total of 8 points over 104 minutes of action.  And it'...

Gerald Wallace unhappy with being reserve, changes attitude

BOSTON — Wins do wonders to smooth frayed nerves. A couple of hours after expressing exasperation with his role and frustration with being taken out of the starting lineup, Gerald Wallace changed his tune after the Celtics recorded their first win of the season with a 97-87 victory over the Utah Jazz on Wednesday. The 13-year veteran even joked a little about his 31-year-old body’s...

Gerald Wallace Not Excited About "7th Man" Role Off Bench for Boston Celtics

BOSTON -- Crash was relegated to the bench Monday as the Boston Celtics got their first win of the season against the Utah Jazz and talked to CLNS Radio's Jared Weiss about his disappointment. Wallace played well in limited minutes, but was discouraged and seemingly offended that he was being used as a "7th Man," as he called it, at this stage of his career. While Wallace...

Now Gerald Wallace is kind of OK with coming off of the bench

Another day, another Gerald Wallace story. Last night, the Celtics forward was not happy about being benched in yesterday's game. He seemed to imply that it was a move that a tanking team would make. However, the team won their first game with Wallace coming off the bench. Oh, and Wallace didn't do too bad either (9 points, 9 rebounds). So now that whole bench idea sounds...

Your Morning Dump… Where Gerald Wallace might not be enjoying his time in Boston

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. “It’s hard,” Wallace said. “It’s like starting from scratch zero with this team and trying to figure out what direction they’re headed in and what pieces they’re going to put together. For me, I...

Starter shuffle: Crawford in, Wallace out

Gerald Wallace will not be starting tonight’s game.  He’s going to the bench, a move Brad Stevens says will help both starters and the bench “[Bradley and Crawford will] both play point, they’ll both handle the ball,” said Stevens. “I think we’re able to run a bigger variety of things with both guys in than we are with one guy in over the other. Our offensive numbers...

Gerald Wallace Says Playing for Celtics ‘Like Starting From Scratch Zero’ After Having Already ‘Established Myself’

There’s something to be said for paying your dues, and Celtics forward Gerald Wallace has heard it plenty before. After coming within a game of the NBA Finals with a 61-win Sacramento Kings team his rookie year and making the playoffs each of his first three seasons in the league, a 21-year-old Wallace was taken by the Charlotte Bobcats in the NBA’s expansion draft. Charlotte...

Gerald Wallace seems pretty pissed about not being a starter

Gary Washburn passed along some quotes from the often outspoken Wallace about the starting lineup tonight, which has him coming off the bench. In short? Wallace does not sound happy. Wallace hasn't exactly played well enough to start the season (he took 0 shots the other night), but that hasn't stopped him from talking about how unhappy he was. In a Herald piece this...

The Curious Case of Gerald Wallace

I've always kind of liked Gerald Wallace as a player. Watching him on the court, he seems to go all out on every play, hence the nickname of Crash. Maybe his complaints about playing time and his role on the Nets last season should have prepared us for some rocky times when he was traded to the rebuilding Celtics. The Nets were a contending and up and coming team and he was...

Celtics’ Gerald Wallace leaves Monday’s game with bruised knee

Boston Celtics’ forward Gerald Wallace left Monday night’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies with a bruised right knee and did not return. As reported by Matt Fitzgerald at bleacherreport.com, the Celtics’ official Twitter reported, Gerald Wallace will not return to tonight’s game after bruising his right knee. — Boston Celtics (@celtics) November 5, 2013 The news was...

How Boston Can Rid Themselves of Gerald Wallace

When the Boston Celtics traded Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett to the Brooklyn Nets, the focus of the deal was that the team was shipping out two players that had helped them win a championship a few years prior. What many overlooked was what they got in return. It was more or less addition by ...The post How Boston Can Rid Themselves of Gerald Wallace appeared first on The League News.

The Best of Tommy - Jazz 11/6

As always, Tommy put last night's game in complete perspective 140 characters at a time. Before the game, he talked about what the Celtics need to do to improve and he hit the nail on the head when he said that they need to find the right mix. I think Brad Stevens did a good job of doing that last night when he changed the lineups and rotations. And, they needed to find a...

Game 5 of 82: Celtics defeat Jazz for first win of the season

The Celtics get their first win of the season 97-87 over the Utah Jazz at home in the TD Garden. The first quarter didn’t start so well as Utah came out of the gates on fire, starting the game 16-3 as the Celtics started 1-9 from the field. Boston then quickly replied with Bass, Wallace and a Jeff Green and 1 to bring us down 6 with 5:36 left. The Jazz pushed it back to 10 before...
