When the Boston Celtics take on the Oklahoma city Thunder on Sunday, get ready for a slobberknocker. Celtics radio voice Sean Grande will have a special guest up in the broadcast booth on Sunday for the second quarter, WWE Hall of Fame announcer Jim Ross. “Good Ol’ JR” is a native Oklahoman and Grande is a big WWE fan — it’s a match made in heaven. Since Ross is in the house, fans sitting court side should be careful to protect their folding chairs. If there’s a Spanish announcers’ table, they should definitely watch their backs. When JR is around, bodies seem to come flying in from everywhere. It’s too bad Ross wasn’t in Phoenix on Saturday. It would have been fun to hear him call the Canada-Mexico World Baseball Classic brawl. The Celtics game starts at 1 p.m. You can follow along with all the action here. Photo via Facebook/Jim Ross

Paul Pierce: The Celtics want to see Miami in the playoffs, “I always thrive on wanting to play against the best.”

Just a few days ago an Eastern Conference scout told Marc Stein that without Rondo, Miami would win a Celtics-Heat series in five. Well Paul Pierce doesn’t care about the scout at all; in an interview with David Aldridge, Pierce said that not only does he want to play Miami, but he feels the Celtics have shown they can beat the NBA’s best:Me: When you won in ’08 KG famously...

Jason Terry Soars in Fighter Jet Inspired Reeboks

Opposing Guards Have Asked Celtics Avery Bradley To Ease Up On Defense

Boston Celtics second year guard Avery Bradley is an absolute beast on defense and drives opposing guards crazy when they play against him. Bradley took a scorching Stephen Curry and hounded him into a miserable 6-22 shooting performance, right after Curry lit up the New York Knicks in Madison Square Garden for 54 points. Bradley only has one goal when he takes the basketball court...

Afternoon Delight: A replacement for Gary Tanguay has been found

Good news Celtics fans, we've found a replacement for Gary Tanguay! Tanguay makes Celtics pregame shows, halftime shows, and postgame shows almost unbearable to watch on CSNNE. His opinions completely change depending on who else is in the studio. If Tommy is there than Tanguay is saying how much he loves Rondo. If Felger or Shaughnessy are there, he's bashing Rondo. His...

Your Morning Dump… Where Jason Terry was like glue

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. On Friday, Korver finished with 3 points on 1-for-5 shooting in 38 minutes as he was blanketed by the energetic Terry. “Listen, Jason had 19 points, but I thought the thing he did better than anything was he...

Scout: Rondo is the Celtics leading a-hole

ESPN’s Marc Stein spoke with some NBA scouts about the upcoming playoffs. Here’s what one Eastern Conference scout had to say about the Celtics chances: I’ll buy your [contention] that they’re playing happier without him, but when it comes down to the big games, you need a couple a-holes. And Rondo is the leading a-hole Boston has. He affects the game like nobody else. ...

Celtics Offense Sputters In Oklahoma City As The Winning Streak Comes To An End

Thunder 91, Celtics 79 The good news is that the Celtics (34-28) were able to slow down the Thunder’s elite offensive attack on Sunday afternoon. They controlled the pace, and made a concerted effort to attack the boards on both ends of the floor. The C’s gave themselves a chance to win by turning this game into a halfcourt slug fest where speed took a back seat to execution...

Celtics Don't Give Up, Lose to Thunder

Cold as ice: Oklahoma City Thunder beat Boston Celtics 91-79

Jeff Green's return to Oklahoma City was less than stellar. The worst part about this afternoon’s loss was the defense.I don’t mean that the defense was bad. It was fantastic.
