Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump.
“We absolutely deserved to lose the game, whether we won it or not,” said Celtics coach Doc Rivers. “We deserved to lose the game.”
“We just can’t play down to anybody,” said Avery Bradley. “We have to play consistent; that’s what we have to do every single game and we didn’t do that tonight.”
It was a night in which the dreaded “Cool Celtics” that Rivers hates to see, were on the floor for long stretches in the second half after Boston built a double-digit lead at the half.
All that the C’s did well in the first half to gain control, soon became a distant memory.
“We went from being a solid, just a good looking basketball team, to showtime,” Rivers said. “I believe in the basketball gods. When you mess with the game, the game messes you up.”
“We don’t learn,” said a visi...

Jason Terry is confident that the Celtics will meet the Heat in the playoffs and that there will be "fireworks." He had more to say.
Miami Heat star LeBron James said the fact that is was Boston Celtics guard Jason Terry who he dunked over and knocked down "made it that much sweater."
Well, that was awkward.
Just two days after the world could not stop singing the Celtics’ praises after a loss, of all things, the green team went out Wednesday and laid an egg in the second half in the Big Easy. With the aid of a putrid third quarter, in which they shot 5-for-18 and mustered all of 12 points, the Celtics squandered a comfortable lead for the second time in two...
Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers says Kevin Garnett is in the lineup for Wednesday night's game against the New Orleans Hornets.
The 6-foot-11 Garnett had been sidelined for two games by a left thigh injury and the flu. Boston split the two games, losing to streaking Miami on in the final seconds Monday night.
Garnett is averaging 14.8 points and 7.8 rebounds this season.
Well, great. Tonight, the Celtics play the Mavericks down in Dallas. Boy, I just can't wait to watch them struggle against another awful team. This last week really only had one hard game scheduled(the Heat game), which they lost. I'm fine with that one, but not the close home wins or the loss in New Orleans. Anyway, if they attempt to follow these five things they might...
We’ve got ourselves a new candidate for worst loss of the season, folks.
After a pretty comfortable first and sloppy, but still positive second, the Celtics came out in the third quarter and absolutely sucked. They got down as much as 9 in the 4th before coming back to take a 5 point lead with 1:32 left. But they never scored again, New Orleans went on a 6-0 run over the last...
[caption id="attachment_58828" align="aligncenter" width="460"] Was Jeff Green's big game against the Miami Heat his coming out party? (photo credit: boston.com)[/caption] What Will Jeff Green Be Able to Give the Boston Celtics From Here on Out? Jeff Green is 26 years old. He was drafted nearly six years ago, in July of 2007. Green is discussed...
8 a.m. ET: Jeff Green probably will not score 43 points again, so we can safely put aside that possibility now.
The biggest question entering this game, then, is whether Kevin Garnett will play. The Big Ticket missed the last two games, including Monday’s two-point loss to the Heat, with a thigh injury and an illness. Garnett reportedly made the trip to New Orleans, so he should...
9:35: The Celtics continued their aggressive play in tonight's first quarter. It could've been better, but I'll still take their current 31-22 lead. Jeff Green is playing well again tonight, leading the C's with 11 points. Pierce has also chipped in 6. Keep watching, this should be a good one.
Forward Jeff Green nearly carried the Boston Celtics to a win over the Miami Heat.
The Boston Celtics showed they still provide problems for the Miami Heat on Monday night even without Rajon Rondo and Kevin Garnett on the floor. Despite the consensus that the Celtics are an aging, slow team, they showed that they can match the Heat by pushing the ball up the floor and beating the...
The Boston Celtics-Miami Heat matchup had it all.
One team came in boasting a historical winning streak, while the other continued to defy the odds with every passing week.
One team sat atop the Eastern Conference, while the other was busy fighting and clawing its way up the standings.
One team featured arguably the best player in the NBA right now, while the other featured a former...
The fans posting on the Hornets' boards have become very few, but I guess you can't blame them. It's pretty funny to see fans who are set on tanking and getting the best draft pick suddenly want to win just because it's the Celtics. The Celtics should not have lost this game. They pretty much beat themselves. There is something very wrong when the bench...
Danny Ainge went on "The Big Show" this afternoon and talked about the suddenly struggling C's. Ben Rohrbach of WEEI.com's 'Green Street' broke down the interview here (link), and in it Ainge spoke about the recent play of Jeff Green, and whether or not he should be playing more.
I think Jeff is starting to prove and has proven to Doc that he deserves...
