PLAYERS: Mario Williams
TEAMS: Buffalo Bills
Mario Williams was wooed by the Buffalo Bills at the beginning of the NFL free agency period.  One of Williams major concerns when trying to choose a team was how his fiancee would like the prospective city. Now according to court documents, Williams ex fiancee never really liked him either.  KTKR in Houston is reporting that Williams is suing his former fiancee, Erin Marzouki, for the $785,000 engagement ring he gave her. Court records say Williams — the former Texans defensive end who now plays for the Buffalo Bills — gave Erin Marzouki a $785,000, 10-carat diamond engagement ring in February 2012. Williams claims his former fiancée terminated the engagement earlier this year. Court records say the “defendant never intended to marry plaintiff and used the relationship as a means to get to plaintiff’s money and acquire gifts.” Williams also alleges he purchased more than $230,000 in luxury items for his former fiancée and also gave her a credit card where he claims she charged more...

E.J. Manuel to surprise the NFL in 2013?

One of the many first-round surprises in the 2013 NFL draft was the selection of E.J. Manuel by the Buffalo Bills at 16. The selection was universally panned by many major NFL analysts, but my initial reaction was if you’re going to take a chance on a quarterback in the first-round, it has to be Manuel. That doesn’t mean he’s not a “project” quarterback, but his overall...

Mario Williams Suing Ex-Fiancee to Get $785,000 Engagement Ring Back

Last March, the Bills offered defensive end Mario Williams a six-year contract worth up to $100 million — the most lucrative deal ever for a defensive player. E.J. Manuel Likely To Be The First Rookie QB To Start?

ESPN’s Adam Schefter mentioned on Monday’s Sportscenter that he believes Bills first-round pick E.J. Manuel will be the first rookie quarterback to start a game this season. “Whenever you have a first round pick invested in a player, that gives that quarterback, politically, the best chance to start quickest of any other quarterback. That would be EJ Manuel of the Buffalo...

Bills, Rams 'laid groundwork' for trade prior to draft

Even though the Buffalo Bills didn't plan on selecting Tavon Austin last Thursday, the former West Virginia wideout was still in their plans. Austin served as leverage for the Bills at the 2013 NFL Draft, as the desirable receiver was still for the taking when Buffalo was at bat at No. 8 overall. At that time, the Bills opted to trade back to No. 16 via the St. Louis Rams, who...
