One of the league’s worst kept secrets last year was the play of Kevin Kolb. After the Cardinals acquired him Philadelphia, and shelled out $21 million in guarantees as the hopeful franchise quarterback, Kolb fell way short of living up to to expectations.

Though he appeared in just nine games, his numbers were the definition of pedestrian: 146-of-253 (57.7%) for 1,955 yards, nine touchdowns, eight interceptions, and three lost fumbles. Most importantly, he led the team to just two victories.

Cards fans don’t forget. And, apparently, they don’t forgive, either.

According to beat writer Darren Urban, Kolb was booed during Wednesday night’s minicamp practice, also known as “Fan Fest 2012.”

Yes, unfortunately. RT @_Fresh90s: @Cardschatter was Kolb really booed? #INeedAnswers

There were an estimated 15,000 fans in attendance, so one can imagine how loud the boo birds were chirping.

No matter the decibel level, however, it’s never a good sign when your supposed starting signal-caller is drawing that sort of response during a practice in June.

These are the same fans who watched as then-rookie backup John Skelton jumped into the fray, leading the team to its 8-8 record in 2011, tripling Kolb’s win total in the process, I might add.

It’s obvious Kolb has a ways to go before winning over the faithful, and perhaps his starting job, as well.
