ARLINGTON – The Cowboys are loaded with confidence after Sunday’s 44-7 destruction of the Bills.
But several veterans and coach Jason Garrett moved quickly to make sure the heads don’t get too big in the locker room.
“It says nothing,” defensive end Marcus Spears said of the blowout. “We just have to continue to come in with the same mindset and focus and continue to prepare. We are flying under the radar. Nobody thinks we are going to be where we want to be. But the guys in this organization and the guys on this team feel we can be a real good football team.
“(Still), nobody is getting overly excited about what happened (Sunday) because there are a lot more games to play. We just want to be consistent and put some wins together.”
Garrett said the blowout will be more meaningful if the Cowboys continue to improve.
