Spencer had the knee scoped performed during the first week of training camp and hasn’t practiced much since. He was aiming to be ready for the Cowboys Sunday night opener against the Giants, but it appears as though he’ll be unavailable this weekend. Spencer, 29, received the Cowboys franchise tag worth $10.627 million. He’ll be an unrestricted free agent following the season, so he obviously has a lot on the line this season.
