With the Oakland Raiders’ second game of the season right around the corner, fans are wondering how the team will match up to the Jacksonville Jaguars. With Jaguars’ quarterback Blaine Gabbert out because of an injury, the question is will this benefit the Raiders’ defense?
Absolutely. Chad Henne takes Gabbert’s place, and I think all teams have some adjustment issues when playing with a different quarterback. Hopefully the Raiders’ defense

will take note of this and attempt every blitz they possibly can.
Another question in the minds of Raiders’ fans is how Terrelle Pryor will play. He showed impressive athletic ability against the Indianapolis Colts last Sunday, but Pryor says he “played awful.” What does this mean for the Raiders’ offense with the upcoming game? I think we can only expect greater skills out of Pryor. He is unwilling to settle for less than his best, which will only prove to be advantageous in future games. Even the Co...

Like much of all life on our blue rock here there is a simple definition of survival. Adapt or die. This also holds true to the NFL and how both offenses and defenses survive, adapt or die. With every action there will inevitably be a counter reaction. The latest phase of offense is the quarterback read action. RG3, Cam Newton, Colin Kaepernick all have shown great success using...
Despite leaving the Lucas Oil Stadium with a loss last Sunday, the Oakland Raiders surprised a lot of people with the way they played against the widely favorites Indianapolis Colts. The Silver & Black conceded a 14-point deficit early in the second quarter, but responded with 17 straight of their own led by the new starting quarterback, Terrelle Pryor. But […]
Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor spoke with Eric Kuselias on Pro Football Talk and made it clear that he’s quite unhappy with the two interceptions he threw during last week’s close loss to the Colts.
While Pryor can certainly grow as an NFL quarterback, he seems very confident in his abilities and could end up being a surprise player this year.

Last Sunday, in the Oakland Raiders season-opening 21-17 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, Terrelle Pryor turned in one of the biggest breakout performances around the entire league
For Steve Clarkson, though, who ESPN The Magazine dubbed “the most powerful QB coach in football,” the strong display was far from a big surprise.
“The thing that most impressed me was that I wasn’t...
(Eds: APNewsNow. Will be updated. With AP Photos.) By ANTONIO GONZALEZ AP Sports Writer Even as a backup, Oakland Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor would write notes to wide receivers and leave them in their lockers after seeing something on video he thought might help.
The former Ohio State standout studied the NFL's best quarterbacks and learned something from each of them...
Terrelle Pryor’s career at Ohio State can be summed up as a disappointment. On the field, he could have been the next Vince Young, and often looked the part. But off of it, he would become the face of the worst scandal at Ohio State since Woody Hayes’s ill-fated haymaker.
Terrelle Pryor was the original Johnny Manziel. Maybe he didn’t have the smile or the child-like wonder...

Following the Raiders near-victory over the Indianapolis Colts in Week 1 of the new NFL season, here is a quick run through of how the team did as a whole.
Overall Grade: B-
The Oakland Raiders started the game slow and spotted the Indianapolis Colts a 14 point lead. The Raiders just looked out of sync to start the game. After the second score from the Colts the Raiders got rolling...
My favorite guilty pleasure sports movie is The Replacements, which I usually will watch right as football season is upon us. I routinely visualize Shane Falco running awkwardly onto the field as the second half of the Sentinels-Ropers game begins to a mad ovation as a team of “replacement” players look to erase a seventeen point halftime deficit. There are precious few moments...
OK, Week 1 went about like I expected–Andy split his bets, but hit his bigger ones, and is up to $10,463.64. I choked, hitting one of my bets, and am down to $9,711.36.
Week 2 bets are below:
Andy’s picks:$150 – Oakland (-5.5, -110) vs Jacksonville – I’m not quite ready to call myself a believer in Terrelle Pryor or the Raiders yet. But the second-year signal caller...
So here we are ready for NFL Week 2 and I am sure some of you are already in a panic over some of the performances of high draft picks. Well, all I can say is it's a long season and 1 week can't be written as bible.

Week 1 of the fantasy football season is now in the books, and we saw a couple of surprises throughout the week. Peyton Manning kicked the NFL season into high gear with an insane 462 yards passing and 7 touchdowns, ending the week as the highest scorer with 46 standard scoring points. The only other entrants...
